The original studio flanger.
My Experience: Before this box existed, engineers had to physically press a thumb on a magnetic tape reel to get flanging. Eventide automated it in the 70s, and this plugin captures that magic perfectly. It sounds "expensive" and incredibly wide. It has a width and depth that feels 3D, wrapping around your head. I use the "Shallow" mode for subtle stereo widening on synths, but the "Deep" mode creates that iconic "through zero" cancellation where the sound briefly disappears inside itself, creating a vacuum effect.
Deeper Look: The specific "Bounce" knob allows you to mimic the behavior of the tape reel servo motor perfectly. It creates a modulation that is less "metallic" and predictable than digital flangers and more "chewy" and organic. It sounds like a record from 1975 instantly. The envelope follower allows the flanging to react to the input signal's volume, making it dynamic and alive.
Why we love it
Best for authentic vintage 70s studio flanging.
